What Silicon Valley's top performers do to keep their role from swallowing them
Great read! Shifting the focus from managing time and tasks to managing energy is a game-changer.
The point about intentional dropped balls vs. accidental ones hits home. I categorize priorities into 3 types of balls:
- Crystal: Drop it, it breaks (and so does your credibility).
-Rubber: Drop it, it bounces right back.
-Wood: Drop it, some break, some bounce, a manageable risk.
Intentionally setting down rubber or wood balls is how you protect your energy for the crystal ones without losing trust.
Thanks for putting words to this framework!
Thanks Patricio, that’s such a great layer to add. You’re right, not everything breaks when dropped!
Thank you for sharing these lessons!
